HOLLY, MI– A head-on collision with a tractor-trailer left one woman dead in Holly, Michigan on Thursday, June 12th, 2014, according to a news article from The Oakland Press.
Representatives from the Michigan State Police have said that they believe one person was killed when the vehicle they were driving and a tractor-trailer collided head-on after one of the vehicles.
Scene of the Accident
One person was killed in the accident, although it is unclear if they died instantly in the crash, or at a nearby hospital a short time later.
The accident is currently under investigation by officials from the Michigan State Police.
Commentary:
This kind of collision is probably going to boil down to which one of the vehicle did the crossing over into oncoming traffic, and while the news article indicates the victim crossed over, I’d be interested to have a look at the roadway at the scene of the crash. Why? Because if one of the vehicles hit the brakes, there could be significant skid evidence on the road which could reveal the truth behind what may have happened. All it would take is a fresh set of eyes to peer at the evidence to say for sure.
