Local authorities in Ranger TX reported that a hit-and-run accident along Interstate 20 left one man injured and in a coma. Police said that 51-year old Mitch Riffle was a passenger in a Ford pickup truck that was struck by another vehicle from behind. The collision sent the Ford into a rollover and it traveled down an embankment.

According to reports the wreck left Riffle in critical condition and he was later listed in a coma at the Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital. Police said that the Ford was being driven by 31-year old Brent Elrod and also carried 57-year old Julie Elrod. Brent and Julie were both injured treated and released from the hospital after the crash. The accident happened on June 14 2012 and Riffle remained in a coma as of June 19 2012.
