Commentary:
Finding out where the alleged drunk driver in this accident should be priority one for investigators. What is significant about this information? Well, all drunk drivers are not created equal, and in the State of North Carolina, a bartender or server is forbidden from serving alcohol if they have any suspicion that the customer is going to drive. If the customer displays bloodshot eyes, trouble walking and balancing, and poor motor skills, all while talking about driving home after the bar, the bar can be held liable for the accident if they allow them to leave, and if alcohol is found to be the cause of the accident.
