Jordan Nutt Injured After St. Croix, WI Train Accident


Local news reports stated that a train accident in St. Croix WI left 17-year old Jordan Nutt with several injuries. Police said that Nutt was driving along 220th Street in St. Croix and had come to a stop at its intersection with the railroad tracks but claimed that his vehicle continued to move forward.

The impact of the train against the car left Nutt with multiple injuries sources said and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The accident happened on June 1 2012 at about 7:30 in the evening.

I was actually a couple cars back from this wreck, one of the first on the scene, and helped administer CPR on the victims. The truck driver was going way too fast, but it was actually his trailer that swung around and hit the suv, the semi-truck ended in the median.

At the company that I work for, e deal with monitoring construction activity and work around trenches and all sorts of construction equipment/vehicles. I sometimes wonder if construction companies have enough safety training to inform employees of how to protect themselves while on the job.
