KNOXVILLE, TN — A truck driver was taken to the hospital after a single-vehicle accident in Knoxville, Tennessee on Wednesday, May 21st, 2014, according to a news article from Local 8 Now.
Police have said that they have reason to believe that Dalton, Georgia resident Pedro Ruedas was hurt when the flatbed tractor-trailer he was driving left the road and vaulted over an embankment while driving on Interstate 40 over the Strawberry Plains Pike.

Pedro Ruedas was taken to nearby University of Tennessee Medical Center in a heli9cotper where he was last listed in critical condition by hospital staff.
He was alone in the vehicle, and no other injuries were outlined in the news summary.
Tennessee State Police were still investigating the accident.
