RUSHVILLE, IN — One person was killed in a tractor-trailer accident that happened in Rushville, Indiana on Tuesday, April 29th, 2014, according to a report from the Greensburg Daily News.
Investigators have said that they believe Jed Olvey was killed when the vehicle he was driving slid over the median and collided with a tractor-trailer while driving on Highway 3.

Jed Olvey was taken by EMS personnel to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead a short while later.
The investigation is being hanlded by officials from the Indiana State Police.
Commentary:
You may read this article and assume that everything is figured out, but I’ve never seen an accident where the fact pattern reflects 100% fault for any of those involved. This is why I advocate second guessing and checking up on police reports that these articles are based off of. In the majority of cases I handle, most of the accident reports are found to be incomplete or altogether incorrect. Adding to the pile of evidence with independent investigators can do quite a bit to sway liability in favor of the real victims.
