Commentary:
The fact that the passenger car erupted in flames after the accident should open up a plethora of questions for victims and investigators alike. Cars are engineered with crash-survivability in mind, and when a fire breaks out in a car after a crash, something has more than likely gone wrong. Luckily accident investigators can pinpoint the source of a fire to determine what may have caused it. If a defect in either the vehicle’s design itself, or a faulty part within the vehicle caused the fire, the manufacturer of the car or the part that failed to do its job could be liable, but the only way to know if something like this happened is if the evidence is still around, and if a trained eye takes a look at it.
