San Diego, CA — The driver of a motorcycle was injured in an accident with a taxi cab in San Diego, California, last Thursday. The accident took place near the intersection of Camiones Way and Camino De La Plaza, shortly after midnight.
Reports indicate that the driver of the taxi made an illegal u-turn just before the rider crashed into him.
The names of those involved have not been released. At this time, it’s unknown whether or not the taxi was carrying any passengers.
The collision is still being investigated.

Breaking traffic laws is never a smart thing to do, but it’s even less smart when you’re the driver of a commercial vehicle that could have potentially had passengers inside at the time. Reports don’t say if that was the case here. If it was, the driver would probably be liable for any injuries they suffered. I say probably because, even though the cab made an illegal u-turn, that doesn’t give the driver of the motorcycle a free hit. There may have been something going on here we don’t know about.
