Commentary:
While we do not yet have the most complete picture of the accident available, people seem to have it in their minds that alcohol related accidents and regular collisions are one in the same, when they really are not. The first thing that needs to be established with any alcohol related crashes is where the driver was drinking before the accident. Why is this important? Because if they were drinking at a bar, the bar could be held liable for the accident if they are found to have over-served the driver in question. What constitutes over-service? Any time a person walks into a bar with obvious signs of intoxication, and are served anyways, the bar may have violated liquor liability laws.
