Commentary:
Any kind of accident that has no witnesses can be frustrating, confusing events for anybody involved. Luckily, the technology in tractor-trailers had advanced by leaps and bounds in recent years, and most large commercial freight moving trucks are outfitted with some kind of electronic control module that operates sort of like a black box. Aside from global positioning tracking, the device also monitors speed, and significant impacts. If anybody connected to this accident has a desire for a more complete picture of what may have happened, further investigation may be necessary, as initial police reports are often faulty and inaccurate. Many forget police that respond to accidents are enforcers of the law and not professional accident investigators.
