Commentary:
These types of accidents only serve the need for adequate liquor liability laws. Many states are outfitted with a set of laws that make sure restaurants, bars, nightclubs and liquor and beer stores sell alcohol in a responsible manner that does not endanger the public. What does this mean? Well it means that if a person who is clearly drunk with bloodshot eyes and trouble speaking, then the law would prohibit any bar from furnishing them with any additional alcohol. Additionally, it prevents somebody from being served to the point of obvious intoxication at bars. Many people do not see these laws as fair, but to them I ask, “Is it fair for somebody to be served twenty shots and allowed to leave.”
