Commentary:
Many people make the mistake of basing their whole opinion around a single news article, but reporters are just as susceptible to making mistakes as regular folks are, and basing a conclusion on a cursory news article may be unwise when there may be more than what we see here. Until an investigation is complete, we cannot assume fault. Tractor-trailers cross into oncoming traffic all the time, for any number of reasons. The tires could be bald, the steering fluid could be low, or the driver may be distracted on the radio with his dispatchers. Fortunately for victims in these situations, we are now able to better investigate the devices within tractor-trailers to see if any were in use at the time of the accident in order to determine if the drivers eyes were even on the road at the time of the crash.
