NEWARK, NJ — One person died and another was left in critical condition after a traffic accident that happened in Newark, New Jersey on Friday, March 21st, 2014, according to the news report from The New Jersey Star Ledger.
Investigators think that 23-year-old Halim Habib was seriously hurt when he was hit by a vehicle while assisting a stranded motorist in changing her tire on the New Jersey Turnpike. The accident was reported Friday night.

Emergency responders transported Halim Habib to a nearby hospital where he was last listed with critical injuries. Killed in the crash was 21 year-old Santa Pumpura, who was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead a short time after her arrival
Authorities from the New Jersey State Police are helping local offices with the crash investigation.
